Open-Minded Crafting Fun March Challenge #3 -- St. Patrick's Day / Good Luck

Good morning everyone! And a very happy Thursday! This week has been a busy week at work so far, but I have gotten a lot done. There has been lacrosse practice, but no games since Monday. They have a tournament this weekend though. Hoping for a quiet weekend other than that. Have a great Thursday and rest of your week!!

Today is the 10th and it is our third (3rd) challenge at Open-Minded Crafting Fun. This month we have a challenge of St. Patrick's Day or Good Luck. We have some great sponsors for March. Here they are with a HUGE thank you from all of us! Thank you so very much!

And here is my creation:

For this card I wanted to get away from St. Patty's and away from green to show we want to see all kinds of good luck creations. So, I went with red and black using this amazing KennyK Stamps image - Happy Hour. I've cut around the image with a My Favorite Things die. I've added some black ink slightly around the edge. I've added some twine and pearls. The Good Luck is stamped.I've used a negative cut on the inside and added some black and white pearls to bring it all together. The image was colored using my Copic markers.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Skin: E000, E21, E11, E04, R20
  • Dress: C00, C1, C3, C5, C7, C9; R20, R22, R24, R29

Easter Bunny Drawn With Character

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

I'm sharing just another Easter card with you:

This was another unique fold. Another cut from the Silhouette Cameo. I thought it was a pretty fun cut. I always take and make some changes or additions usually, to these cuts. For this one I've added an extra cut to the inside to add a bit. I've done a lot of stitching around the different folds ont his one. I've used some chalk on the pink eggs and the purple to add some detailing to the edges. I've added some diamond glaze on the purple over the egg and the drips of purple on the card. I've added some gens and dew drops as well. You can see the chalk on the larger pink egg on the inside better. The image is from Drawn With Character and I've popped the image a bit. Love that little guy :) He was colored with Copic Markers.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Bunny Fur: C00, C1, C3

Easter Bunny and Chick

Happy Monday everyone!! I hope you have a wonderful day!!  Today will be a busy day for me.. busy at work and then Lacrosse tonight. The JV girls don't play until 7:00 pm, so that means out and home and in bed for me.  :)  Tomorrow Michael has a Dr. Appointment, so at least I can work from home.  Have a great day everyone!

Today I wanted to share another Easter card:

This was a unique fold and I really enjoyed it. The card was a Silhouette Cameo cut and I've changed it up a bit. On the front part of the card it has the grass cut. I cut that with green and added the two different easter eggs that I colored with my Copic markers. I thought the grass blended in really well. The second fold has a cutout that says Easter. I've added some darker pink distress ink around the lettering to make it pop a bit. And I've added the patterned paper behind it. On the third fold it is a cut out easter egg. I've added the gorgeous Wee Stamps image to the back fold -- Easter Bunny. I've colored the image with my Copic Markers and done a bit of layering with the image. I've added some matching bling to the back and some small dew drops to the front and middle folds. And that is it! I hope you like it!

Copic Markers Used:
  • Bunny Fur: BV20, BV23
  • Ears, Nose and Paw Pads: R11, R20, R22
  • Chick: Y00, Y11, Y15, Y18
  • Egg: V0000, V000, V01
  • Bow: B0000, B00, B01

Steampunk/Industrial Box

Happy Sunday everyone. Today I'm going to head out for a little bit with my daughter and work a bit on her goalie stuff. She has a game on Monday and wants to do some work. We will be working with a small stick since her goalie stick is still at school in the locker room. This morning we are watching the 3rd Australian V8 race of the weekend. Other than that, I plan to get some posts ready and hopefully some coloring done. I hope you all have a great rest of your weekend!

Today I'm sharing an altered box:

This is a wooden box that I have taken and altered. I've painted the box black, then I've added those metal legs. I've used some porcelain clay that I've made up and made all of the little metal plates with that. I've used Dimensional Effects Texture paste on the top of the box and also the sides of the top with two different stencils. I've added some silver paint and some some Metallic Lustre. I've used a nut for a handle that was colored using Alcohol Ink and of course I've added some metal gears to finish off that Steampunk/Industrial look. I really had a lot of fun using the clay and texture paste on this.

Easter Bunny Card

Good morning everyone!! I have been super busy at work and have not had time to post anything. But! I have gotten a lot done at work, a lot of Lacrosse games to see and we have been going, going, going!

Bailey has had Lacrosse practice every night after school. She has had two games as well. She did really well on her first game.. they ended in a tie. She stopped some penalty shots right at the end to keep the tie! I was so proud of her. Then, her second game wasn't so great. The team they played against was really tough. She got super stressed, her team really couldn't keep the ball. The were dropping the balls, they couldn't catch the passes, she would clear the ball, they would miss or get beat to it and they were shooting at her again. It was a tough game. I've tried to get her to understand to use those games as a good chalk up to learning. You stay calm, you keep your head and you do your best. You keep blocking shots and the more shots they take on you, the more practice and experience you are getting. I know that's hard to do in a game, but she can work at it :)  She was making stupid choices and getting really emotional. She is a good goalie though. She just has to work through those things. So proud of her.. always!

Michael is passing all of his classes right now.. so that is a good thing! And he is working a lot. He is working a little too much. I don't think he is getting enough sleep, but you can't talk to him. He is a 17 year old and that's it... he thinks everything is fine LOL  Oh well!

Kevin has had some Dr. Appointments. He is actually feeling a bit better over the past few days with his stomach issues, so we will see if what they are doing will work! He has to get a colonoscopy at the end of the month and he is REALLY stressing over that!

Me? I have been coloring, crafting and working and coaching Bailey and going to the Varsity and her JV games too. That has been it! Keeping really busy!

Okay... here is the card I'm sharing today.. this another Easter creation:

For this one I've used the new awesome Wee Stamp -- Bonnie. Isn't she just too cute! I've colored her with my Copic Markers. I've colored the background with Copic markers and some spotting with the Colorless Blender. I've popped up the banner, the flowers, leaves and the basket. I've used some Wink of Stella on the flowers and some dimensional paint in the centers of the flowers and the yellow dots around the flowers. I've done a bit of dry embossing, I've used quite a few different patterned paper scraps on this card. The die cut around the image is from My Favorite Things. I've also added those pearls at the bottom and some pastel ribbon to add to the spring/Easter pastel colors. For the inside I've used some patterned papers, ribbon and more pearls to finish it off. The embossing was continued on the inside as well.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Background: G24, G14, B04, B16, BG23, BG13
  • Flowers: R00, R11, R22, R24
