I added stars, rosettes, ribbon and pearls. I used two oval dies from Spellbinders. I did a little bit of doodle stitching  and I used a stamp for the "thinking of you" sentiment. Friendship with Whiff of Joy.

Good morning everyone!!  Today I wanted to share my second Whiff of Joy project for June! Can you believe that June is almost over!!  Crazy! Alright... here is my creation with a Friendship theme :)

For this card I used Friendship Ride - Maya which you can find at the Whiff of Joy store! I colored these two adorable friends with my Copic Markers. The True Friends Are Priceless is a stamp that I have. I used a couple of different die cuts. The flowers in the background is the Floral Fusion CU Die-namic and the circle is from the Stitched Circle STAX Die-namic. These are both from My Favorite Things. I splatted different colored paints onto the circle... a little blue, green, yellow and bright pink.

June DT Day at Meljen's Designs.

Good morning everyone!! Today is my Design Team Day at Meljen's Designs :)  And I get to share a card with you. I have made a Thanks card and here it is:

I used scratch paper from last fall. I added the stitching around the edge. I added sequins and gems top of the sequins on those little embossed circles that I cut from the Kraft paper. I colored this little Thanksgiving Corn Mouse cutie with my Copic Markers. I added a little bit of paint dots and added Diamond Glaze on the butter to give it a bit of a shine. The top of the image I cut with a corner punch I had. Thanks is a Paper Smooches Stamp. And last but not least ... I inked the edges of the kraft paper with black ink.

Fantastic Friday!!!.

Yes!! Finally Friday! It has been a LONG week LOL  A LONG couple of weeks and I'm glad its coming to an end! Time to enjoy a nice weekend ... although they really go by quickly don't they!!  So, on to our challenge today.. Today is Challenge #93 at Delicious Doodles and our theme this week is Make A Scene (use a scenery image). Trying to work on Christmas cards again, I came up with this:

For this one I used A Robin's Christmas which you can find in the Delicious Doodles Store. I colored the image with Copic Markers. I printed them out in the different sizes and then layered them on top of each other. The papers are all scraps from making cards last year. I added the ribbon and the two snowflake stickers. The "Peace On Earth" is a Paper Smooches stamp. The label it is stamped on is cut with a Spellbinders die. I dry embossed the white background with my snowflake folder. And I added the clearish white almost icy looking Robin's Nest Dew Drops. On the inside I layered the paper and cut the bottom edge with one of my punches. I used the same embossing folder for the inside white paper on the back.

Copic:
  • Sky: BG90, BG93, BG96, BG99
  • Snow: B0000, B000, B00
  • Trees: G20, G24, G29

Happy Thursday with Meljen's Designs!.

Good morning everyone and Happy Thursday!! It seems like all I've been doing is working! But now it is time for the new challenge at Meljen's Designs. We are on Challenge #215 with a theme of Texture (create texture on your project).  Here are my two creations:

This is using Steampunk Boy. I decoupaged the little sprocket on him and then his head is bobbled. I dry embossed the brown paper with my gears folder. I distressed the edges and inked. I colored this image with my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I colored their hair and skin with Copic Markers. The gears are a memory Box die cut that I embossed with both Pearl Ultra Thick Embossing Enamal and Stampendous Frantage Aged Bronze Embossing Enamal. The sentiment is hand written and then the edge on that same black paper is doodled. I also doodled on the inside brown paper with the same sort of line. I added the little gear on the bottom right. That is 7 Gypsies. I added a little stitching on the brown directly behind the black strip with the sentiment. The Steampunk Goth Girl is the same card, just with the girl image instead.

Copic:

  •  Girl Hair: E02, E08, E18, E19

I added glitter for the tinsel around the tree, a little bit of glitter for the lights on the tree the flower on her headband, and a little bit of yellow glitter on the star. I used quite a few different dies on this card. Some swirls from Cheery Lynn and the rest are Spellbinders. Challenge #11 Winners and Challenge #12 Something With Wings Midway!!.

Good morning everyone!! Be sure to visit Open-Minded Crafting Fun this morning to see our random winners and the DT Favorites from Challenge #11. And then at noon you can see the midway inspiration for our Challenge #12: Something With Wings.

Here is my creation for our midway post:

For this card I used an Aurora Wings image - Owl Masquerade. She is beautiful isn't she. I colored her with Copic Markers. I decoupaged the owl and the mask. I did some embossing on the black paper, added some random pearls and a few flowers. The feathers... well... I knew I wanted feathers for this card, but it was 8 pm on Saturday evening. So, I went out to Michaels with the husband so I could get them LOL!!! I picked up that awesome little wooden bird cage while i was there as well. I added a bit of brown ribbon and stamped the "thanks" and used a die cut on it and the half circle. The little tag die cut at the top I fastened with a couple of white brads.
