May DT Day @ Meljen's Deisgns.

Good morning everyone!! Today is my DT Day at Meljen's Designs. Here is what I'm sharing with you:

For this card I have used Garden Flower Frame and Lazy Susan Buggies. I have been enjoying coloring on kraft paper with my prismacolor pencils and that is what I did here. I printed this image on white and on kraft. The bottom layers are the white. I colored the flowers and leaves on kraft with the prismacolor pencils and decoupaged the vines, the leaves, the flowers. I also colord the Lazy Susan Buggies image, but colored this one with my Copic markers. The sentiment is an old stamp that I had as well as the corners. I added the gems down one side. I decoupaged the flowers and the leaves. I tried to get some photos of the dimension, but I'm not sure how that turned out.

Copic for Lazy Susan Buggies:
  • Yellow: Y000, Y11, Y13, Y19
  • Black: C3, C5, C7, C9
  • Leaves: YG01, YG05, YG09
  • Brown: E21, E23, E35

On The Darker Side @ Delicious Doodles.

Good morning everyone and Happy Friday.

Today we are starting Challenge #89 which has a theme of On The Darker Side. Be sure to come play along at Delicious Doodles!! I can't wait to see everyone's Darker Side!!!  Here is what I came up with.. although.. I hate spiders LOL!!!

The image is Black Widow. She is so great!! I decided to go with a black and red type these with a little bit of purple.. that is her skin color. She likes the dark! So she is a bit pale LOL I colored her with Copic Markers. I added a little bit of gold using my gold sparkle marker. I used several different die cuts, including the corner, the flowers and the swirls that are behind her. I embossed a strip of paper down the center with a brick pattern to add a bit of texture.  I added black pearls to the center of the flowers and the sentiment. I used a doily under her and sprayed that with several mists.. purple, red, and gold.  Then I added the lace at the top and the red ribbon right on top of it.

Copic:
  • Skin: BV20, BV23, BV25, BV29
  • Shirt: W1, W3, W5, W7, W9
  • Spiders: C3, C5, C7, C9
  • Red: R14, R27, R29, R59

Bookmarks Challenge @ Meljen's Designs!.

Good morning everyone and welcome to Challenge #211: Bookmarks at Meljen's Designs. I love making bookmarks and this was a  great excuse for me to finally make some!!! Here is what I came up with ... No.. I didn't just make one LOL:

I colored all of them with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol and they are all Magnetic Bookmarks so they snap around the pages. They are my favorite bookmarks with the magnets. They snap onto the page so they don't fall our or shift. You can't really find them any more, so I just make them now.

For the first one I used, "Write To Be Understood, Speak To Be Heard, Read To Grow." The image is Book Girl. I added red and black pearls for a bit of embellishment.

The second one I used, "Fill Your House With Stacks of Books, In All The Crannies and All The Nooks" by Dr. Suess. The image is Little Book Worm.I added some green gems to this one.

The third one uses the quote, "Dream It! Read It!". And I used the image Study Owl, which I turned into a chick LOL I added two different pink gems and the pink corner.

And last, but certainly not least we have, "The More That You Read, The More Things You Will Know. The More That You Learn, The More Places You'll Go." -- Dr. Suess. The image I used for this one is Dragon's Little Friend. I added some blue pearls and gems on this one.

These were so fun to make!! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!!!

I did a very small amount of decoupage on this image.. I only popped the keyboard. I've added a lot of different die cuts... the card itself is a die ad then the two squares layered on top of it, the two circles, there are many different swirls, flowers and leaves, the butterflies as well. The die cuts are from the Memory Box, Spellbinders and Cheery Lynn. I added the flowers, the gems on the sentiment and pearls on the butterflies. I also added some micro beads on the aqua flowers on the left side and silver stickles on the large green flower. I put one of the butterflies on the inside to finish the inside off.

Whiff of Joy New Release Preview 2.

Good morning everyone!!  Today I'm posting another preview of the Whiff of Joy new digital release. It is all about music and it is an amazing release. I love Henry!! Who doesn't??  And he is just as adorable as ever playing all of these musical instruments. Here is what I came up with for this card:

I colored the images with my Copic Makers. I did a bit of decoupage on Henry. I tried to show that a bit with some of the photos. I layered blue on the card and cut the bottom edge with a punch. On the inside I cut the right side with the same punch. I layered some light blue pearls in some of the bigger stars and along the front sentiment. There are several images on here from the new ones at Whiff of Joy. I used Henry Playing the Guitar, but I also used the Line of Notes, the two circles at the top right are colored with gold glitter marker and then I put Diamond Glaze on them. They are wonderful!. The microphone is another image, the front sentiment and the sentiment on the inside and the trumpet on the inside. All of those are images from the new digital release at Whiff of Joy. They are all fabulous!! I added the twine in the front with the musical note button in the middle of it. There are two shades of blue twine there. And that is my showcase for Whiff of Joy... Be sure to go over and see ALL of the new digital images in this release!!
