Pink and Girly at Delicious Doodles.

Happy Friday everyone!!!  And here we come up on the weekend again :)  We are just going to spending time at home this weekend... doing a bit of yard work, some house work and getting ready for our trip on Monday.

On to our new challenge at Delicious Doodles. We are on Challenge #85: Pink and Girly. Here is what I have created for this challenge:

My April Christmas Card!! Yay!!! :)  For this card I used Christmas Surprise which you can find at Delicious Doodles. I colored this beauty with my Prismacolor Pencils and I used a bit of Gamsol with it. I colored her hair pink, her outfit pink and the wrapping paper pink. I have used all different shades of pink papers. I have used a Spellbinders circle die on the circle that you can't really see in the back LOL  The rectangle die cut in pink and then the image were also cut with Spellbinders dies. The holly is a Cheery Lynn die cut. I added glitter to her outfit and the hat and her nails... where ever the white is. I used two different stamps on the background paper and I also inked the edges. I added two different ribbons... the one ribbon with the larger bow, then I tied a smaller bow with the pink dotted ribbon and placed it on top of the larger bow. The only other thing is the corner punch on the inside of the card and I believe that is a Memory Box die.

Meljen's Designs Challenge #207.

Good morning everyone and Happy Thursday!!!  I'm trying to wrap things up and get ahead on everything!! One of Kevin's sisters is here in the states and we are all set to leave Monday morning to head to Nashville, Tennessee to see her. They are heading up to the Kentucky Derby. I've never been to Nashville, so this should be fun. And it will be a really nice getaway for Kevin and I.  And I'll get to meet one his family members in person! :)

Okay.. on to the challenge LOL  This is Challenge #207 at Meljen's Designs and our challenge this week is Hardware (use metal embellishments). Here is my Red Hat Society themed card:

Yes... Red Hat Society inspired :)  I have been trying to get my mother to get involved with them. She needs some friends... some people to hand out with, but she just won't do it. So, for this card I used Miss Fancy Cat and Cats Eye Glasses which you can find at Meljen's Designs. The flowers are a My Favorite Things die, the oval is a Spellbinders die and the two papers were embossed. I added some Diamond Glaze on Miss Fancy Cat's glasses and then on the glasses on their own as well. For my metal embellishments I added the wonderful heart charm which I received as a birthday gift from Vicky :)  I also added the metal "Mother's Day" tag with the two brads and also the Love and XOXO words. I added two gems on either side of the glasses and then I added the ribbon as well. I did do a little bit of decoupage. I decoupaged the front of the hat and the scarf. The image was colored with my Copic markers.

Copic:
  • Cheeks and Ears: R20, R22
  • Red: R14, R27, R46, R59
  • Purple: V12, V15, V17

Open-Minded Midway Easter or Pastel Colors.

Good morning everyone!! It is Saturday and that means we have our Winners and DT Favorites posted this morning for our Challenge #7 -- Animal Antics. Boy are you all so talented!!!  I'm always in awe!! AND ... this afternoon you will see the midway post.

Here is my midway card using I Cherryish You from 2 Cute Ink:

Such a CUTE image isn't it!!! I printed the image on craft and I colored them with my Prismacolor Pencils. Since it was a pastel color challenge I colored them pink :)  I used a circle and the circle on top of the circle with the funny edges LOL  Those are both Spellbinders. I braided three different colors of twine.. two yellows and a pink and added that. I also added white, pink and yellow sequin, the leaves and flowers and the 3 heart brads. The papers are all scraps that I have had for a while.  No decoupage this time!! In face, for the next few cards I don't think you will see any decoupage. We'll see how well I do at that LOL  The Congrats! is a stamp and the Cherry-ish Your Day is one I did up and printed. Thats it!!  Hope you like it!

DT Day at Meljen's Designs.

Happy Tuesday everyone. Today is my DT Day at Meljen's Design and I'm going to share a new card with you.

For this card I used the wonderful Frog In My Pocket that you can find at Meljen's Designs. I had a lot of fun coloring this little guy and then decoupaging him. I colored him with my Copic markers. I colored him with dots and then I used the Colorless Blender to add additional dots. I love coloring this way. I think it adds a lot of texture!  I have had that pocket die cut for a long time too and I've been waiting to use it!! So, I used my little pocket die and added the sentiment. I inked around the pieces of white paper and I added the twine. I added the blue gems.

Copic:
  • Pocket: B91, B93, B95, B97, B99
  • Frog: YG03, YG07, YG97, 0
  • Worm: R00, R12, E95, 0
  • Cheeks: R20, R21, R22

For this one I used  Rang Climbing, which you can find at The East Wind Etsy Shop. I love these kitty images :)  I kept the card all black and white. I popped two of the small kitties and then the larger one as well. I added the white Candi at the bottom. I also added two gems on the side of the sentiment. The sentiment was created on my pc. Good morning everyone and Happy Friday!! WOOT!!! How exciting!!  And today we are starting a new challenge at Delicious Doodles. Our theme this week is Easter. There are a lot of fun Easter images at the Delicious Doodles Store!!! Here is what I came up with for our Easter theme:

As you can see I decided to make a waterfall card out of these adorable Easter images. I used Easter Chick, Easter Egg, Bear With Easter Egg, Bunny With EggDoggie With Egg, and Kitty With Egg. I paper pieced each egg with some of the scrap papers that I have. All of the images where colored with Copic markers and I popped the paws, wings, beak on the chick. I added the ribbon, the flowers and gems, the eyelet, the Easter sticker. I also added the Happy Easter stamp. All of the papers are scraps of the same papers I've been using. These papers are at least a year old and I'm trying to use them up LOL  Good way to use scraps :)
