DT Day at Meljen's Designs

Good morning everyone and Happy Tuesday :)  I get to share something with you today and it has to be Any thing But A Card for my DT Day at Meljen's Designs!! I decided to try my hand at a candle. I have been seeing candles done and have read about them, but I needed the extra push to actually try it I think! So, I dug out my Copic and colored this awesome little guy, "Sweet Little Foxy". I put the image on tissue paper and colored it with my Copic with a piece of paper underneath... major bleed through with tissue paper no doubt! I cut around the image and put it on the candle. Then I covered that with wax/parchment paper and heated with my heat gun. Dont' stay in one spot though, because your candle WILL melt!  Here is my first try at a candle...

Not too bad for a first try :)  I think I will definitely try again. I also think a white candle would have been better and I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for some good priced candles! I hope you enjoy and I hope you will try it out for yourself!  One thing though... if you try it, I want to see it!!! LOL :)  Have a great day everyone!!

Happy Sunday everyone! We are coming up on the end of January... can you believe that? We move soon.. February 8th. I can't wait to be out of this apartment. It will be so nice to be in a house. This week is Challenge #148 at One Stitch At A Time and for this challenge the theme is "Use A Digi". For this challenge I was able to use an image from the awesome Lil Diva - The Easter Bunny.

This was my first try at a Twisted Easel card. It was really fun. I love this little rabbit and the awesome eggs in the basket too. I didn't really get that great of photos to show the dimension. I popped the front ear, the arm, the nose and the basket as well. I used various flowers that I had in my stash and various buttons as well. I used two different Spellbinders dies.. the edge and the circle. There is a doily as well as some bling. The rubon "Easter" is from my stash as well. The lace a bit new.. I think I picked that up on a run to Joanns. The paper is random scrap paper except for the pink cardstock for the base of the card. And I colored the image with my Copic.

Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #46

Good morning everyone! Or evening for those who have just about finished their day :)  This week our challenge at Tammy's Scrapin Corner is Challenge #46 with a theme of Red and / or Hearts! I had the great pleasure of working with an image from KennyK - Spaced. I had SO MUCH FUN! coloring this image!!

I used scrap papers to create the card. Most of the card is made up of this awesome image! I popped certain pieces of the image.. the space ship, the satellite, a planet, the space station. I popped the couple to really make them stand out. I created the sentiment.. I knew exactly what I wanted so I created that on my own. What could fit more perfectly than U R Out of this World! :)  I colored the entire image with my Copic. I love how it turned out :)  So... part of the card is red and the other pink LOL a version of red! But I also added hearts to cover myself ;)  Those hearts are rubons from an old KI Memories Wild Things I had -- Really Old! I also used Diamond Glaze on the helmets to give them a glossy/glass look. Ughhh... My PC died last night. I'm not sure what is wrong... it seems like the power source or maybe even the board. The kids had a PC that they haven't been using, so I stripped my good video card and sound board and moved it onto their PC and have claimed it as my own. LOL It really throws the day out when something like that happens. I should be thankful that I had another one. AND! I have the best husband EVER! He stayed up last night to get everything up and running for me so I could log in this morning. Kevin is the BEST! :)

I didn't lose anything since I keep everything on my extra hard drive. I do not have my bookmarks though, so I'm thinking of taking the hard drive from the other one and plugging it into this one too. I might as well strip it clean! I had a ton of bookmarks too and I'm not sure of any other way to get them back. I won't remember them all.

We will be off to church soon. This weekend was another weekend of moving things to the house and cleaning up over there. We took a bunch of stuff over yesterday and finished vacuuming out the windows.. they were full of spider webs and such... YUCK! The kitchen is pretty well put together over there too. I need to work on it a little, but we have taken over most of the kitchen supplies except for the bare minimum which we left here to use. We can get by like that for a couple of weeks. The last to go is my crafting supplies. I'll probably take some of it over next weekend... maybe LOL

Alright... I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your weekend!!!

Challenge #45 at Tammy's Scrapin' Corner

Good morning everyone and Happy Monday!! I don't believe I have too much going on this week. I think Kevin is going to meet me at the gym after work today. Tuesday we need to meet with a counselor at church to talk about Michael. Tuesday night Kevin will be going in for a sleep study test. Poor guy... I am putting him through the ringer :) I still need to get him in to see the dermatologist and then the dentist LOL So... I will need to see if I can make some appointments.

We brought a bunch of stuff to the house this weekend. We will bring another load over this next weekend. I need to figure out about utilities and stuff like that this week. Okay.. it's going to be a bit busier than I realize LOL I've been trying to get ahead on my cards. That is hard to do when you are trying to get everything organized to move too.

Okay... enough of that :)  Here is my card for Tammy's Scrapin' Corner this week. We are on Challenge #45 - Use A Punch.

I used this great digi from SKDigis - Ice Cube Snowman.
I used two punches, both snowflakes. I also used brads, papers from my scrap boxes and Frosted Lace Stickles. I colored the image with Copic.
Copic:
Sticks: E35, E37, E39
Snowman Snow: B0000, B000, B00
Sign: B12, B14, B16

Have a great day everyone! And a better week :)

Yesterday we spent the day over at the house we are going to be renting. We were lining cabinets in the kitchen and cleaning up. We also brought a bunch of stuff over. We almost have the garage here at the apartments emptied out. I am sore all over.. my back, my feet LOL Today, we will go to church and then bring another load over. We have four weeks and she is letting us move things over, so we will get as much moved as we can. The Saturday we are moving we should have minimal stuff to move and the movers can move the furniture.

I hope you all have a fantastic rest of your weekend!!

Happy Monday everyone!! First day of a full week at work after the New Year LOL Today we begin a new challenge at Tammy's Scrapin Corner!! We are on Challenge #44 with a theme of Manly Card! Here is my card for this challenge:

I used Racing from QKR Stampede for this challenge. I love this image!! I popped different parts of the image. There are three separate layers. I created the sentiment on my own.. I thought Get Well In A Hurry just fit the image perfectly. I created the cross in the middle and glittered it up with True Red Glitter from Barbara Trombley's Art Glittering System. I used a Spellbinders die for the circle and the scalloped circle as well. I stitched around the rectangle with red thread. The Dog Tag I used Metallic Blue Letraset Metallic Marker. I used a Silver Letraset Metallic Marker for the middle of the wheel and the bolt at the back. I colored the image with Copic. It's a pretty simple design and I think its just perfect for a man.
