Challenge #164 At One Stitch At A Time

Good morning! How about a new challenge at One Stitch At A Time? This is Challenge #164: Use A Digi. Here is my card for this weeks challenge:

For challenge #164 - Use A Digi, I used Adventure Kid King from Luke Carr Designs. I colored the image with Copic and tried to give him a muddy look. I used some Simple Stories paper that I had along with Kraft papers. I love this paper for boy cards! I used some Sizzix Splats in brown cardstock, which I inked around the edges and I created the sentiment. I only added a little bit of dimension to the image.. only his crown and a bit of his hair. The circles are all die cuts as well... Spellbinders.

Copic:
Crown: Y00, Y11, Y15, YR24
Jeans: B91, B93, B95, B97, E71, E74

Meljen's Designs Plays Words With Friends

Good morning everyone. It has been a long week so far. I'm so happy it is finally Thursday. And I have so much to do at work. I'm hoping I can really bust it out today. Taylor got a job for a couple of days. The kids only have one more week of school after this week. Michael is in his extra math classes until Friday. Bailey is waiting to find out this week if she gets accepted into the Honor Society. Kevin is feeling much better.. its only a 24 hour type bug.. REALLY icky bug though!!! But I'm really glad he is feeling better. And that is about it. I haven't gotten any crafting done this week. I've been so tired and I've been going to bed early. Hopefully I can get something done tonight :)

I hope you all have a wonderful day!! And a great rest of your week!! It's almost the weekend!! On to our challenge!

Today is a fun challenge over at Meljen's Designs. Our challenge this week is Words With Friends! For this sketch I used a piece of a page of a book. Here is my card for our challenge this week!

On this card I used two different images from Meljens Designs - I Love My Teacher and Little Apple Worm. I used scrap papers that I had to complete this card except for the base. I used several Spellbinder die cuts, flowers, gems, eyelets (apple), a page from a book, ink, and red puff paint. I colored the image with Copic and I decoupage/popped a few pieces on the card. On the front I popped the worm and the apple and leaf and on the inside I popped several letters in Teacher and the apple.

Copic:
Red - R24, R46, R39, R59
Yellow - Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17

Challenge #62 at Tammy's Scrapin Corner

Good morning everyone! Can you believe the weekend is already over? Where does it go! I'll be off to work soon. Today I am taking an Advanced Microsoft Word class. Hopefully I will learn some new tricks :) Other than that, nothing special going on this week.

For Mother's Day I spent the day taking care of my sick husband. It was still a good day and by the evening he was feeling much better. At least he is on the mend!

I hope you all have a fantastic week ahead!!

Now, welcome to Challenge #62 at Tammy's Scrapin Corner ;) Here is my creation for our Ribbon and Lace challenge!

For this card I used all scraps. These scraps have been in my box for a while and I thought they would go perfect with my dragon! I also used some old ribbon that I had and the lace is a new purchase from Joann's. I used my corner punch on the black square, but only on 3 of the 4 corners. I distressed the edges of both of the banners. The lettering is two different Sizzlits (Graffiti and Girls Are Weird). The awesome image is from A Day For Daisies - Dragon Ride and I colored it with Copic. I also used some black puff paint and added small black dots onto him. Hmmm... I think that is everything. I decoupaged/popped the girl and the front wing.

Copic:
Dragon - T7, T9, YR15, YR16, YR18, Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17
Dress - RV23, RV25, RV29
Hair: E50, Y21, Y26, Y28

Crafting When We Can Colour Combo!

First off.. to all of you mothers out there!!!

    ***HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY***

And a very happy Sunday to you!! So it has been a pretty good week. I feel good, but the cough is hanging on LOL I gave whatever I had to Kevin, but he is feeling a bit better too. My youngest started getting sniffly too LOL! It was a busy week at work too, but a good :)  And now it is the weekend and it is suppose to rain on Saturday, Mother's Day on Sunday and I'm just going to relax and color... like a little kid!

Oh!! And I got a new toy! I got the Envelope Punch Board.. so I will have to try that out this weekend too!! And now when I have odd sized envelopes, I will be able to make them!! Woot!! hehehe  Alright.. have a great rest of your weekend everyone!!

Yesterday I worked in the garden, weeding. I'm so excited to see everything flowering! I can't wait to be able to pick some vegetables!! We should have cucumbers, tomatoes, peas, squash, zucchini, bell peppers (capsicum), peppers, radish, onion and green onions.

So, this morning, Kevin is sick. He sounds like he has what I had a couple of weeks ago. Some really awful stomach bug. He has been up all night. I'll have to watch him and make sure he is getting better or take him to the doctor. We'll see how that goes.

Now on to the new challenge at Crafting When We Can. We are on Challenge #44 which is a Colour Combo challenge. This challenge is to use Lime Green & Pink. Here is what I came up with for this challenge:

The awesome image I used is Poppy Set from Dilly Beans. I colored this image with Copic. I used a bunch of die cuts on this; Spellbinders and Memory Box. The dies are the ovals in the back of the girl, the label beneath her, the swirls under the ovals and the flowers in each of the four corners. I added the little buttons from my stash in the center and the hello is from a Doodlebug/Hampton Art stam set. I popped a few of the flowers and the bows in her hair. The green paper is from an old Club Scrap set and it is embossed with a wood grain. The front pink is glitter paper. The bright pink is just random card stock I have LOL

    Copic:
    R81, R83, R85
    YG00, YG01, YG06, YG07, YG09
    E21, E30, E31

Mother's Day At Tammy's Scrapin Corner

Happy Monday everyone!! Time to start another work week .. bleeeckkk! The weekend sure goes by way too quick! Its here and then gone before you know it. It has been a rainy weekend here too, so a lot of staying inside. I have been crafting this weekend and blowing my nose a lot LOL I haven't felt terrible, just stuffy head, congested. My oldest daughter finished school last week and I believe she will be headed home tomorrow. It has been a relaxed weekend, which has been nice. On to our challenge now.

Today over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner we are beginning Challenge #61 and our theme for this challenge is Mother's Day. Here is my card:

For this card I used Mouse In The House from Digi Stamp Characters. I used several different paper flowers from Spellbinders and My Favorite Things. I used two different swirls from Cheery Lynn which I cut into pieces and placed in different areas around the flowers. I used 3 different die cuts from Spellbinders - two scalloped circles and one circle. The "Mother's Day" was cut from Sizzlits Script and the Happy is from Paper Smooches. I used blue and purple Stickles. I distressed the edges of some of the paper, I sewed around a couple of the papers and I doodled along the edge of the scalloped circle. I colored the image with my Copic and I popped a couple of small pieces, the sleeve, the flowers, the gift.

    Copic:
    Mice - C00, C2, C3, C5, C6, C7, C9
